Pimiento del País
Cubanelle Pepper

Pepper - Sweet Cubanelle (Capsicum annuum)
Matures 65 days after planting.
Thin skin and Red color when mature.
This variety of Peppers have been the preferred type by Puertoricans when they make their Sofrito. These peppers are very tasty when fried, and are the # 1 choice as a complement to the Culantro and Aji Dulce, Garlic, and Onion in the Sofrito.
These peppers can easily be grown inside in pots the same as the culantro and aji dulce. I grow them in foam coolers with drainage holes in the bottom. Each plant will easily give you many peppers for your enjoyment. When ripening they go from a yellowish-green to a red color when fully rippened.

Hi Jose this is Gwen. I
purchased some Cubanelle seeds from you in July and
just wanted to update you on my plants. They are doing
fantastic!! I only
started 4 because our growing season is short. I'm hoping for a
fall crop as
long as nature cooperates. The plants have gone into the veggie
garden as of
yesterday. They are about 10 inches tall and very strong. The
germination
period was exactly 14 days for me. I was about to call it quits
when on the
14th day they just emerged. After that it seemed so long, but I
think I was
just anxious. Thank You so very much for the seeds and growing
instructions.
Have a great week Gwen
