"The perfect survival plant"
Pigeon pea, a valuable legume, is cultivated extensively in India, Southeast Asia, parts of Africa and the West Indies. It is a typical dish in the Puertorican culinary culture. Because of its high protein content, it is used as a substitute for meats. The bush is very easy to grow and very productive. It needs very little watering because of its deep root system.
Try the delicious "Arroz con Gandules"(click here for the recipe) with your own FRESH Gandules !

All of the gandules I planted have germinated. The beige ones came up
yesterday (one day at 80 degrees) and the red and speckled were up
this morning (2 days at 80 degrees).
