Calabaza Seeds
"West Indian Pumpkin"
(Cucurbita Moschata)

These could be your seedlings
Calabaza seeds are back in our inventory since I have had several requests for them. These seeds are for the West Indian calabaza which is what most hispanics, and caribbean descent folks like to use for cooking, so that is what we will provide since it is hard to find in the regular seed catalogs.
Calabaza is a squash variety, grown throughout Central - and South America as well in the Caribbean. It is a creeping, annual tropical vine with large leaves and branching tendrils; the flesh of the fruit is bright orange. The flowers are yellow and pollination is done by bees. The taste is sweet and Calabaza is used in many dishes. A vegetable that is a very good source of vitamin B; shoots and flowers contain calcium, phosphorus and iron. The fruit contains calcium and vitamin A.
